Basil Content Media Pvt Ltd was founded with the idea of being one of India's premier film sales and film festival strategies outfits.

With over 2000 films produced in the country (India) each year and only a handful number of Indian films finding its way to a global audience, the gap in the content discovery and trade of quality content is glaring. Basil Content Media aims to bridge this gap and service filmmakers, producers, film festivals, buyers and other members in the content value chain.

Vivek Kajaria

A self-professed, passionate guardian of Independent cinema in the country, Kajaria is a noted and National award winning film producer.

Having produced numerous feature films including acclaimed films such as Fandry (2014), Siddhant (2015) and Presented Anumati (2013) which won him the distinguished National Film Awards conferred by the Government of India two years consecutively and his films having travelled to numerous international film festivals.

An avid film lover, he was also selected for the Trans Atlantic Partners program, The Rotterdam Producers Lab and The Producers Network at Cannes.

He turned Director with his debut short, Durga, which bagged him the special mention Dada Saheb Phalke award and has travelled to over 20 film festivals across the globe.

Uma Da Cunha

Uma da Cunha is a highly regarded film programmer and film festival advisor, as well as a writer and researcher on independent world cinema.

A Masters Degree holder from Delhi University in English Literature, her interest in cinema drew her into film society movements, including serving as the Hon. Secretary for Anandam Film Society and initiation of Dristhi, the film society devoted to promoting new Indian cinema.

She has worked closely on Indian cinema with the Toronto International Film Festival (from mid-1990s), the Locarno International Film Festival (2000 to 2005) and Dubai International Film Festival (2003 to 2008). She is the founder-advisor for several film festivals, which include ones held in Florence (River to River), Los Angeles (IFFLA), London (LIFF), and others in Stuttgart, Houston, Melbourne and New York among others.

At the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival, Da Cunha was a member of the Un Certain Regard international jury and in 2010 was a FIPRESCI jury member at the Busan International Film Festival. She edited the first complete biography on Satayajit Ray called 'Montage-Monograph on Satayajit Ray' and has written several publications on Indian cinema for the Directorate of Film Festivals, as well as several French and Italian publications. Uma da Cunha has been covering film festivals as a freelancer for leading publications in India.

Rajat Goswami

With a vast experience in the Media entertainment sector, Goswami is a director and festival programmer.

He has serves as a programmer and consultant for a wide range of film festivals including Osian's CineFan, International Film Festival of Kerala, Bristol India Film Festival, Marmetraggio Film Festival,, Festival du Film d'Asie du SudTransgressif, All Lights film festival, among numerous others.

Additionally Goswami has also been an advisor to the Childrens film society of India and the Ahwaan Foundation's film festival.

Sanjay Ram

Having commenced his career as a film critic and entertainment journalist, Ram has had wide exposure in the filmed entertainment arena. A former consultant to the Mumbai Film Festival, he worked closely with the former festival director Mr.Narayanan in the Indian and international programming of the festival. He also formerly worked with noted production house Sikhya Entertainment led by GuneetMonga on films such as The Lunchbox, Monsoon Shootout, Vakratunda Mahakaaya among others.

Independently, Ram has also handled festival strategies on numerous films and has assisted in international film sales on behalf of independent producers and corporates.
